Xiaomi's PB2045MI is a 45 W bidirectional 20,000 mAh pack built on a two-cell series arrangement: 74 Wh total at 7.4 V and 10,000 mAh, with a rated output capacity of 12,000 mAh at 5 V/3 A. The housing measures 126.89 mm by 70.34 mm by 30.73 mm and provides three ports, a captive USB-C cable that doubles as a carry loop, a second USB-C socket and a USB-A output, so three devices can charge at once.
Inside, two LIWINON C16280BA cells of 10,000 mAh at 3.7 V sit below the main board, tabbed directly to it by nickel strip. An NTC thermistor is taped to the side of the cell block for temperature tracking, and thermal gel plus copper foil are applied over the heat-generating components on the board.
The conversion stage is a Southchip SC2016AD, a three-in-one solution that integrates the MCU, protocol controller and buck-boost controller on a single die, accepting 2 to 5 series cells and an input range of 3.3 V to 22 V. Around it sit buck-boost FETs marked 03301, a 3.3 uH alloy inductor and VBUS FETs marked 03111. Measured profiles cover 5 V, 9 V, 12 V, 15 V at 3 A and 20 V at 2.25 A, with PPS ranges of 5-11 V/4.10 A and 5-20 V/2.25 A on the captive cable.
A WCH CH32X035F8U6 in QFN20, with 20 KB of SRAM and 62 KB of flash, drives the telemetry link: connecting the pack to a PC over USB-C exposes remaining capacity, state of health, cycle count and live temperature through a browser page, which is the practical side of the new traceability requirements for repair benches and resellers.
