Two USB-C rechargeable lithium batteries aimed at replacing single-use cells have been examined. The AA version is rated 1.5V / 2,600mWh and the AAA 1.5V / 750mWh, both specified for 1,200 cycles and fitted with an on-cell Type-C socket plus a green charge LED. Rather than holding a flat voltage, both emulate a dry-cell discharge curve so host devices still show an accurate low-battery warning. The AA measures 50.5mm long and 14.0mm across at 18.4g; the AAA measures 44.1mm by 10.0mm at 7.4g. Charging drew about 1.67W (5.11V/0.32A) for the AA and 0.55W (5.13V/0.107A) for the AAA.
Inside the AA sits a 13450-format cell rated 3.7V / 920mAh / 3.404Wh, mated to a charge and step-down module; the AAA follows the same layout. The controller in both is an Injoinic IP5167V lithium-to-dry-cell PMIC built around a COT synchronous buck that reaches up to 96% discharge efficiency and delivers up to 1.5V/3A or 3.0V/2A, with charge current up to 1.0A and a 28V-rated charge pin. It accepts 4.20-4.40V lithium-ion and 3.60-3.90V LiFePO4 chemistries and comes in DFN8L 3x3. The AAA adds a XySemi XB5332A single-cell protector in SOT23-5.
Measured discharge supports the ratings. The AA delivered 2,994mWh at 0.2A (2,278mAh), 2,777mWh at 1A (2,243mAh) and 2,612mWh at 1.5A (2,067mAh), above its 2,600mWh label. The AAA returned 746mWh at 0.1A, 685mWh at 0.5A and 636mWh at 1A. For buyers, the design removes the need for a dedicated charger while keeping the familiar low-battery behaviour of primary cells.
