The STM32F334R8T6 is an STM32F3-series mixed-signal MCU in LQFP64: Arm Cortex-M4 core at up to 72MHz, 2.0V to 3.6V operation, 64KB flash and 12KB SRAM with hardware parity, plus 4KB of routine-booster SRAM, with CAN, SPI, I2C and USART interfaces. It supports dead-time insertion, five fault inputs and ten external event inputs, and the manufacturer lists native support for LLC, phase-shifted full-bridge, buck and boost topologies.
In the PFC stage the MCU drives the boost switch from HRTIM1 while sampling bus voltage and input current so the current waveform follows the input voltage; in the LLC stage the second device outputs complementary PWM to the two primary switches and trims switching frequency from output feedback to hold operation near resonance and achieve zero-voltage turn-on. The part pairs a 5Msps 12-bit ADC with a high-resolution timer specified at 217ps, and an on-chip comparator can shut down PWM directly on an overcurrent event rather than through a software interrupt.
The PCBA is assembled from several soldered sub-boards that fit two LLC transformers, the secondary synchronous-rectification stage and the control board inside the standard CRPS footprint, with the two MCUs sitting at the PFC and LLC control positions on the long control sub-board. The input side carries a fuse, MOV, X2 and Y safety capacitors and a common-mode choke, with the rectifier bridge, PFC rectifier and PFC switch on the central heat sink.
