Silicore (Wuxi) has unveiled a complete 65W USB PD fast-charging solution that brings silicon carbide into mainstream consumer charger power bands. The platform pairs the SP9857E mixed-signal controller — which integrates a 700V SiC power switch in an ESOP-14 package — with the SP6160 ZVS synchronous rectification controller and an SP05N10SRL SR MOSFET. Its Cap-Less control scheme cuts high-voltage bus capacitance by roughly 33µF, helping shrink the PCBA to 37.5 x 28 x 23.5mm for a power density of 2.5W/cm³. At 65W full load, efficiency reaches about 93% at 90Vac and 94.5% at 230Vac, with standby power below 75mW. The flyback platform runs CCM/QR/DCM up to 260kHz, passes 1.5kV surge, 4kV EFT and 22kV ESD tests with roughly 6dB EMI margins, and meets the GB 20943-2025 Level-1 energy-efficiency requirement that takes effect in February 2027.
