IDMIX 65W GaN Charger Review: 94.27% Peak Efficiency and AVS Support in a 42mm Cube

2026-10-15 ยท Compiled by Best IT Parts from public industry reporting

The IDMIX 65W GaN charger, model P65 C, fits a full 65W USB-C output into a near-cubic body measuring 41.57mm long, 41.49mm wide and 42.26mm high, at about 105.4g and a power density of roughly 1.12W/cm3. Input is a wide-range 100-240V AC at 50/60Hz, 1.6A. The fixed output set covers 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 15V/3A and 20V/3.25A for 65W maximum, with adjustable ranges of PPS 5-11V/4A and 5-21V/3A. Protocol testing confirmed QC3/5, FCP/SCP, AFC, PD3.2, AVS, PPS, DCP and Apple 2.4A, and the PDO report lists an additional AVS window from 9V to 20V at 3A/3.35A.

Efficiency is the strength here: 94.27% at the full 20V/3.25A point and 94.04% at 15V/3A on 220V/50Hz input, with 9V/3A at 92.09% and 5V/3A at 87.36%. On 110V/60Hz the two high-voltage points still held 92.88% and 92.86%, while 9V/3A and 5V/3A came in at 88.73% and 81.34%. No-load draw measured 0.069W at 220V and 0.059W at 110V. Output ripple ranged from 12mVp-p at 15V no-load up to 46mVp-p at 20V/3.25A under load, staying inside the 120mVp-p national limit. Held at 65W for one hour in a 25C chamber, the hottest case point reached 64.3C.

Charging an iPhone 18 Pro Max drew 17.54V/2.96A (51.94W) over SPR AVS, while a MacBook Pro 16 pulled 19.56V/3.22A (62.92W) over PD. The phone curve reached 20% in 5 minutes, 50% in 15 minutes and 80% in 30 minutes, for a 1h12m full charge; a notebook filled in about 2h10m at a steady 63W. Foldable pins sit flush with the housing when stowed.
