Hynetek has released the HUSB370, a highly integrated PD Source fast-charging protocol controller in an ESSOP-10L package that requires only two external capacitors for the complete peripheral circuit. The chip integrates the N-MOSFET and current-sense resistor on-chip, eliminating external gate drive, sampling resistors, and loop compensation. It supports UFCS, USB PD 3.2, AVS, and DPS charging standards, and features MTP (multiple-time programmable) memory for firmware customization via C language development. Standby current is as low as 100 µA at 3.6V VDD, enabling sub-5 mW system standby power when paired with zero-standby AC-DC controllers. Built-in protection includes OVP, OCP, UVP, OTP, and TSD. Designed for GaN chargers, car chargers, multi-port adapters, and compact PD power supplies where PCB space and BOM reduction are critical.
