Teardown: Huntkey S67 Mini 67W GaN Charger โ€” Three Stacked PCBs, QR Flyback and Dual Buck Output

2026-11-01 ยท Compiled by Best IT Parts from public industry reporting

A teardown of the Huntkey S67 Mini, model HKC06711061-0E1, shows how a 67W 2C1A GaN charger is built around three stacked circuit boards. The housing measures 51.33 by 30.44 by 52.03mm with foldable pins, roughly 40 percent smaller than a conventional charger of the same rating. Input is rated 100-240V at 2A; either USB-C port reaches 67W on its own, and multi-port use falls back to dynamic allocation (45W plus 20W for C1 and C2).

The 45.56 by 47.95 by 25.96mm PCBA is split into an input EMI board, a transformer board and an output buck board, soldered together and stacked to save volume. The EMI board carries a time-delay fuse, an X2 capacitor, a common-mode choke and a TRX SMD-TN05M3A chip NTC. Primary rectification uses a Yangjie RYBSM6010 bridge rated 1000V at 6A in YBS3, followed by two 400V 27 microfarad Manyue electrolytics and one 400V 15 microfarad AiSHi part. The primary controller is a Southchip SCV3059AQ, a co-packaged high-frequency flyback controller and high-voltage GaN switch.

On the secondary side a Joulwatt JW7726B synchronous rectifier controller drives a Pingwei 058N10ESL 100V NMOS in DFN5x6, with output filtering by 25V 560 microfarad solid capacitors from PolyCap and Manyue. Two iSmartWare SW3561H buck and protocol SoCs cover the three ports, each integrating a synchronous buck controller, an ARM Cortex-M0 core and PD3.1, QC, SCP and UFCS support in QFN-32 at a default 180kHz. Vergiga VS3620GEMC (30V, 4.9 milliohm) and VS3618BE (30V, 5.2 milliohm) MOSFETs in PDFN3333 act as buck and VBUS switches.

Measured full-load efficiency at 220V is 92.06 percent with standby draw near 0.2W, and supported protocols include PD3.2 with PPS and AVS, UFCS 2.0, QC3.0 and SCP. A metal heatsink over the transformer, insulating brackets and potting adhesive complete the thermal path โ€” points worth checking when judging whether a unit is worth repairing rather than replacing.
